When traveling with kids, it’s a good idea to check ahead of time to see if the place you want to stay at accepts and welcomes children. Many hotels are not very conducive to kids having a good time, and some even have an age limit restricting children. Many of the low-cost hotel chains let children under 18 stay in their parents’ room free. Several hotels that make this offer are Drury Inns, La Quinta Motor Inn, and Motel 6. Drury Inns also offer free drinks and snacks in the evening along with a swimming pool in most cases. These are amenities that make traveling with children much more comfortable. These hotels also offer an hour of free long distance telephone service each night.

Kids under eighteen also stay free at the Choice family of hotels. Hotel brands include Comfort Inn and Suites, Quality, Sleep Inn, Clarion, Cambria Suites, MainStay Suites, Suburban, EconoLodge, and Rodeway Inn. Chances are you’ll find great offers and special deals with these Orlando hotels, too.

An example of the options in Choice Orlando hotels is the Rodeway Inn located within walking distance of Wet ‘n Wild Orlando. Free shuttles are available for going to Sea World, too. Walt Disney World is just minutes away. The hotel features two video arcade rooms, a large outdoor pool, and refrigerators and microwaves in each room. In addition to all this, pets are welcome to stay for a small extra nightly charge. Kids under 12 are allowed to eat free at the Palm Dining Room all you can eat breakfast buffet.

They offer free transportation to the Disney World Theme parks, selling multi-day passes and other tickets at the hotel ticket desk. Water Mania and several restaurants are within walking distance. Hotel amenities that will appeal to families traveling with kids include an electronic game room, large heated outdoor pool, a children’s wading area, and special pet rooms.

This hotel also provides suites that sleep up to six people, featuring sofa sleepers, kitchenettes (with dishwashers!), and more. Finding a suite can be a lifesaver for families traveling with children. If everyone is piled into one room, it can make it hard for parents to stay up late while young children sleep. With a suite, there is likely to be separate sleeping space for kids and adults, and probably even a shared area, like a living room or balcony.
